Mrs. Donna Pedrick

School Nurse

An effective school health program places emphasis on prevention, case finding, early intervention and remediation of health problems. This is an important benefit to students from both health and educational perspectives.  Equally important is the focus on health promotion through individual and group education, health counseling and efforts to provide a healthy and safe environment.

The nurses in the QAC school system also provide services to students with specific diagnosis and special health needs. Diabetes, asthma, spina bifida, seizures, allergies that require epipens, and gastric tube feedings are just a few of the diagnosis and treatments performed in the schools each day. Our goal is to maintain or improve a student’s health in order to prepare or enable the student to learn and benefit from the educational program.

Please call or stop in with any concerns or questions, my door is always open.

Meet Mrs. Pedrick

Hi, my name is Donna Pedrick, I have been a registered nurse since 1980.  I have worked in several different settings including 15 years at Anne Arundel Medical Center, 2 years in Home Health and 10 years as a Community Health Nurse at Queen Anne's County Health Department. I now look forward to working with the students at Bayside Elementary School.

I live with my husband in Centreville, we have been residents of Queen Anne's County for over 30 years.  We have four adult children and seven grandchildren.  We have a hobby of raising chickens and pigeons.  I also enjoy camping, gardening and quilting.

Please feel free to contact me with any health concerns regarding your students.
