An elementary guidance program is available to students throughout the year.
           Guidance activities are conducted in the classroom, in small groups as well as individually.

WELCOME BACK!!

The school year is off to a fabulous start!  Everyone is excited and ready to get back into a routine.  Remember, it is important to get a good night sleep, eat a healthy breakfast and come to school prepared.  If you have any questions or concerns about your child, please feel free to contact me.  I am available each day from 8:30 - 4:00.  I am looking forward to a great year!

CHARACTER COUNTS!!

Our Character Counts program is up and running!  I want to thank all of parents and community members who have volunteered to work with our students.  You are making a positive impact in our school!

Meet Mrs. Gant

My name is Michele Gant and I am the guidance counselor at Bayside Elementary. I graduated from Towson State University in 1991 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. A few years later I started a master's program in Guidance and Counseling at Loyola College. I taught first grade for eight years in Anne Arundel County, second grade for two years in Talbot County and fourth grade for two years at Bayside. I was lucky enough to then be able to become the guidance counselor at Bayside in 2003. It has been lots of fun and I love being able to work with all of the students.

I have two daughters and lots of animals that keep me very busy. There is never a dull moment at our house. Some of my favorite things are Italian food, reading, and going to the beach. I also like to spend time with my friends and family.
