CMS After School Programs

  1. CMS Band: Various types of band are provided for students: Jazz, Concert, and Marching band. Students are allowed to join based upon grade level.

  2. Yearbook: Students obtain the opportunity to have a voice and create the current school years' yearbook. They get to go behind the camera, edit pictures, and complete the layouts as well.

 CMS Sports

  1. Intramurals - Intramural sports are offered during the last part of the lunch period, after students have eaten. Teams are assigned and supervised by the Physical Education staff. Sign-ups will be announced prior to each sport and take place at school.

    Football: September-October
    Soccer: October-November
    Volleyball: November-December
    Basketball: January-February
    Softball: April-May
     

  2. CMS Basketball Teams/Schedule - Organized basketball is offered during the winter season for boys and girls achieving minimum academic standards. 7th & 8th graders may have a maximum of one D, with the remaining grades at a higher level. 6th graders may have only one C, with the remaining grades at a higher level. This activity is designed especially for 7th and 8th grade boys and girls in preparation for high school athletics. 6th graders who wish to try out may be assigned to the B team but may not qualify for the A team unless there is a serious lack of upper classmen. 15 boys and girls will be chosen for the A team, the rest will be assigned to the B team.
