Good Internet search tips
-
Avoid using Wikipedia! It's
information can be changed by anyone on the internet. This means the
facts you obtain from it can be false.
-
Never use a .com website because that
information can be changed. When using websites for class projects,
papers, etc. use either .edu, .gov, or .org to name a few.
-
Never be afraid to use a book. Books
hold a lot of good information and can provide other sources. The
internet can be inaccessible if the power goes out or the internet
is down. A book is always there.
