| Welcome to the 6th grade! I hope you had a great
summer and are ready to begin your middle school adventure. It will be a
wonderful experience filled with opportunities to learn new things, make new
friends, and develop life skills. I am so excited to meet all of my students and
look forward to helping each one have a terrific year at CMS. We will begin the year getting used to 6th grade procedures and the expectations of CMS. During the month of September, we will review BCR's, practice reading strategies, and identify main idea in a variety of texts. Throughout the year, our class will study word parts to develop our vocabulary, review grammar skills, and write to inform, entertain, and persuade. The
