GRADING POLICY                               

Middle School
Grading Policy 2010-2011

 8th Grade

Formative =  50% 
Summative = 50%

Summative Assessments may include major projects, unit tests, chapter tests, mid-term and final exams.

Formative Assessments may include class work, daily or weekly assignments, quizzes, writing assignments, smaller projects, and exit slips.

Students will be allowed to retake/redo assignments after scoring 69% or lower. The highest substitute grade being a 70%.
